STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT - Sept. 1, 2001
Crane Co. (NYSE:CR) announced effective September 3rd, 2001, Simon Willis will become Managing Director of Crane Merchandising Systems, Europe.
"Mr. Willis brings to our organization a well-established industry background where he has demonstrated effective leadership, not only in his previous business responsibility, but through his involvement with AVAB industry affairs," said John Barsanti, President, Crane Merchandising Systems. "Many of our customers who have had the opportunity to become acquainted with Simon, have grown to appreciate his very personable, credible business manner."
As Managing Director of Crane Europe, Willis will be responsible for the departments of operations, finance, engineering, marketing, sales and customer services at Crane Merchandising Systems' European headquarters based in Chippenham, England. Additionally, Willis will direct the development and growth of Crane Merchandising Systems' pan-European business initiative, which presently includes distribution, sales and service centers located in Paris, France and Dreieich, Germany.
Barsanti added, "We look forward to the many positive contributions that Mr. Willis will make to aid our mutual interests of profitable business growth."
